The future of South Carolina lies in the hands of its citizens. As a member of either the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce or your local chamber of commerce, you can be a part of our plan for a successful 2016 legislative session and continue the mission to improve South Carolina’s business climate and global competitiveness. This important policy-changing work begins at home, at the grassroots level. Members of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Lowcountry area chambers of commerce, join us for an open-forum meeting followed by an after-hours networking reception; The Grassroots Meeting is one of the first steps in creating the 2016 Competitiveness Agenda, the business community’s annual list of legislative priorities. The meeting will begin with a legislative review from South Carolina Chamber staff before moving into an open discussion of legislative issues that businesses believe must be addressed. Once the issues are defined and strategies are developed, the Chamber educates legislative officials on creating an environment that will improve the future business climate in South Carolina. A special presentation will be made to area legislators of the SC Chamber’s Business Advocate Award. Questions? E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
